HOWEVER, I THINK THOSE REALLY ARE UNFOUNDED.

I STARTED TO VOLUNTEER AT THE HOSPITAL HOUSTON, UH, HOUSTON METHODIST BECAUSE WHEN I GO TO APPOINTMENTS, I SEE TIRED, FRUSTRATED PEOPLE ADDING MORE PARKING SPOTS MAY BE VERY BENEFICIAL TO THE TMC, BUT THE ROADWAYS DO NOT SUPPORT, UH, A LOT OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC.
WELL, AND EVEN MORE PARKING SPOTS EITHER PAID OR FREE.
YOU NEVER GET FREE PARKING IN HOUSTON.

I FIRST MOVED THERE AS A GRADUATE STUDENT AND I CHOSE TO STAY THERE BECAUSE IT OFFERS SOMETHING VERY RARE IN THE MEDICAL CENTER AREA.
IT IS A NEIGHBORHOOD THAT IS QUIET AND RESIDENTIAL AND PLEASANT.
SO FOR MANY OF US, OUR HOMES HERE SERVE AS A RESPITE FROM THE INTENSITY OF WORKING AND TRAINING IN THE MED CENTER.

UH, THE SITE IS LOCATED IN THE HOUSTON AREA, IN THE MONTROSE AREA AT THE INTERSECTION OF HYDE PARK BOULEVARD, CROCKER STREET, AND STANFORD STREET.
THE APPLICANT IS REQUESTING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A EIGHT ROOM HOTEL TO BE LOCATED IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA AND TO TAKE ACCESS FROM A TWO LANE.
