UH, I, I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY FOR COMING OUT HERE TODAY, AND I ALSO WANNA THANK MAYOR TURNER, UH, THE CITY COUNCIL, AND EVERYBODY WHO HAS SUPPORTED US ON THIS.

THIS IS, UH, YOU KNOW, THEY SAY THAT, UH, IT TAKES A VILLAGE, RIGHT? AND THIS KIND OF PROJECT TAKES A LOT OF PEOPLE, AND THERE'S A LOT OF MOVING PARTS, AND IT TAKES A, AN EFFORT BOTH WITH THE CITY, WITH THE PRIVATE SECTOR, POLITICALLY, SO ON AND SO FORTH.

AND SO WE'RE VERY EXCITED.

WE'VE GOT THE FIRST 20 UNITS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

WE KNOW THIS IS GOING TO BE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT FOR BOTH ACRES HOMES FOR US, AND FOR THE CITY OF HOUSTON.

AND I, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, WE APPRECIATE EVERYBODY'S SUPPORT.

WE, SINCE SEPTEMBER OF 2021, UM, THE CITY OF HOUSTON PROUDLY CONTRIBUTED OVER $7 MILLION AND UPTOWN TUR 2021 FUNDS TO FINANCE THE INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS TO CONSTRUCT THESE AFFORDABLE SINGLE FAMILY HOMES, UH, NEW HOMES, S HOMES, AND IT'S A THREE PHASE PROJECT.

UH, WE ARE STANDING IN THE FIRST PHASE, UH, I GUESS KNOWN AS COMMONS AT AT TIDWELL.

AND CURRENTLY THERE ARE 14, IS IT 14 OR 16 HOMES UNDER CONSTRUCTION, 16, WE'LL HAVE 20.

OKAY.

16 HOMES UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

AND WHEN COMPLETE THE COMP AND TIDWELL, WE'LL HAVE, I'VE GOT 47, 47, 47 HOMES, 15 OF WHICH ARE, ARE RESERVED AS AFFORDABLE.

WE THINK THERE'S GONNA BE SIGNIFICANT HOMES.

OKAY, WELL, A MINIMUM , BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY NOW, , OH, OKAY.

I DO REMEMBER, YOU KNOW, AND, UH, ONE, UH, ONCE THESE THREE PHASES ARE COMPLETE, THE THREE SITES COMMONS AT TIDWELL HAVEN AT HIGHLAND IN MANSFIELD MANOR WILL HAVE A TOTAL OF 189 HOMES, UH, WITH A MINIMUM OF 117 OF WHICH ARE RESERVED AS AFFORDABLE FOR FAMILIES EARNING UP TO 120% OF THE AREA MEDIUM INCOME.

UH, THE COMMONS THAT TIDWELL IS A, THIS WILL BE A GATED COMMUNITY, UH, WITH TWO AND THREE STORY ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES.

I GOT THAT RIGHT.

ALL ENERGY STAR, ALL ENERGY STAR RATED.

AND THE HOMES WILL HAVE THREE, FOUR PLANS FOR OWNERS TO CHOOSE FROM, RANGING FROM BETWEEN 1400 TO 1700 SQUARE FEET.

THE LARGE TRACK DIVISION'S MISSION IS TO CREATE NEW SINGLE FAMILY HOME, HOME OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF HOUSTON.

A ACRES HOME IS A PART OF THE AFFORDABLE HOME DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AND THROUGH THE PROGRAM, BOTH FOR AND NONPROFIT DEVELOPERS RECEIVE FUNDING FROM THE CITY OF HOUSTON TO MAKE HOMES ATTAINABLE FOR HOUSTONIANS EARNING UP TO 120% OF A MI.

AND CURRENTLY, THERE ARE SEVEN DEVELOPMENTS, UH, THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF HOUSTON UNDER THIS PROGRAM.

AND IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO, I WANNA ENCOURAGE YOU TO VISIT THE CITY, UH, HOUSING WEBSITE, WWW HOUSTON TX.GOV/HOUSING TO LEARN ABOUT THE AVAILABLE HOME OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE LARGE TRACK DIVISION, AND COMPLETE THE NEW HOME BUYER INTEREST SURVEY.

ALL RIGHT? I WANT TO GIVE THEM A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT FOR THEIR CONTINUOUS WORK TOWARDS INCREASING THE SINGLE FAMILY HOME INVENTORY IN HOUSTON.

I TOLD MY TEAM AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR THAT AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS A PRIORITY IN MY FINAL YEAR, QUITE FRANKLY, IT'S BEEN A PRIORITY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEVEN YEARS.

THE PLAN IS TO BUILD AND OR DESIGN, OR BE PREPARED TO TURN THE DIRT ON 3000 SINGLE FAMILY HOMES.

WHERE'S THAT SINGLE FAMILY DIVISION AGAIN? DEREK, I SEE YOU TO BUILD OLD 3000 OR BE WELL IN THE DESIGN AND GETTING READY TO TURN THE DIRT ON.

I'M, I'M GIVING YOU SOME WIGGLE ROOM.

OKAY? BUT 7,000 APARTMENT UNITS, AND YOU ARE WELL UNDERWAY ON THAT.

SO THAT'S, THAT GOAL I KNOW IS ACHIEVABLE.

UM, TODAY'S, UH, EFFORTS WITH THE NEW HOMES FOR A ACRES HOMES PROGRAM FITS IMMEDIATELY WITH WHAT THE RESIDENTS OF A ACRES HOME ASKED FOR AND DOCUMENTED IN THEIR COMPLETE COMMUNITIES ACTION PLAN, WHICH IS AS THEIR TOP PRIORITY, TO GET MORE AFFORDABLE SINGLE FAMILY HOUSING DONE HERE IN AKERS HOME.
