AND, UH, THE FLOOR IS YOURS.

UH, MARTIN.

UH, MY NAME IS JIM NYAK.

I'M THE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER FOR THE HOUSTON AIRPORT SYSTEM.

UM, TODAY I'D LIKE TO DISCUSS, YOU KNOW, SOME EXCITING PROJECTS THAT WE HAVE AT THE AIRPORT.

UH, THE HOUSTON AIRPORT SYSTEM ITSELF, OUR MISSION IS TO CONNECT THE PEOPLE, BUSINESS, ECONOMIES, AND CULTURES OF THE WORLD TO HOUSTON.

UH, HOUSTON AIRPORT SYSTEM ITSELF IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIR 3.6, I'M SORRY, $36 BILLION A YEAR IN ANNUAL ECONOMIC ACTIVITY TO THE HOUSTON REGION.

RESPONSIBLE FOR, FOR ROUGHLY 190,000 JOBS, UH, WELCOMES ROUGHLY 60 MILLION PASSENGERS THROUGH OUR FACILITIES.

AND WE HAVE, UH, HOME TO THE FIRST FIVE STAR AIRPORT, UH, IN THE, UH, NORTH AMERICA, WHICH IS THE, UH, HOBBY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

UH, OUR A A H IS A FOUR STAR AIRPORT AND CLIMBING, AND WE ARE ALSO HOME TO THE ELLINGTON SPACEPORT, UH, WHICH IS A VERY EXCITING, UH, DEVELOPMENT PROJECT THAT WE'VE GOT GOING DOWN AT ELLINGTON RIGHT NOW.

IT'S, UH, REALLY GONNA SET THINGS, UH, FOR THE FUTURE PACE.

UH, RIGHT NOW, ONE OF THE KEY THINGS TO THE FUTURE OF THE HOUSTON AIRPORT, UH, SYSTEM AND HOUSTON'S ECONOMY IS THE I TRIP, UM, PROJECT.

AND AT THIS POINT, I WOULD LIKE TO TURN OVER, UH, THE PRESENTATION TO MR. STEVE ANDERSON, OUR EXECUTIVE PROGRAM MANAGER, TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE ON THIS EXCITING, UH, PIECE OF INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WE'RE BUILDING FOR THE, UH, FUTURE OF HOUSTON.

UM, SO I'LL GIVING YOU, UM, A NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE.

SO I'LL BE GIVING YOU A, A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF I TRIP AND THEN AN UPDATE ON THE CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS DATE.

UM, AND THEN WE'LL TALK THROUGH SOME OF THE UPCOMING COUNCIL ACTIONS THAT WE HAVE AS WE CLOSE OUR I TRIPP.

ONE MORE, PLEASE.

SO, UM, THE IH TERMINAL REDEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS I TRIPP, IS MADE UP OVER A NUMBER OF ENABLING PROJECTS AND THEN TWO MAJOR SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS.

WE HAVE THE NEW SEA NORTH, UH, ENABLING PROJECT WHERE, UH, UNITED BUILT, UH, A NEW PIER TO ENABLE US TO TAKE OVER THE OLD SEA NORTH PIER FOR THE NEW EXPANSION.

UM, AND WE HAVE THE INFRASTRUCTURE DIVISION OFFICE BUILDING THAT WAS, UH, COMPLETE IN 2019.

AND THEN WE HAVE AN ENABLING UTILITIES PROJECT, WHICH IS CRITICAL FOR THE, UM, AIRPORTS WATER SUPPLY, BOTH IN TERMS OF THE, UH, FUTURE CAPACITY GROWTH, BUT ALSO IN TERMS OF THE ASSET REPLACEMENT.

AND THEN WE HAVE OUR, YOU KNOW, THE, THE TWO MAJOR PROJECTS THAT WE'RE INCREDIBLY PROUD OF THE NORTH TERMINAL CONCOURSE PROJECT, UM, AND THE NEW CENTRAL PROCESSOR AND, AND SECURITY CHECKPOINT UPGRADES.

UH, THE PROGRAM IS A $1.3 BILLION PROGRAM, UH, WITH SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION IN 2024.

UH, THE PROGRAM HAS SUFFERED THROUGH A PANDEMIC AND, AND SOME OF THE IMPACTS OF A WAR IN UKRAINE.

THAT HAS DEFINITELY HAD A LOT OF IMPACTS, BUT WE ARE STILL WITHIN BUDGET, UH, ALTHOUGH WE ARE STILL CARRYING A SIGNIFICANT RISK ASSOCIATED WITH SOME OF THE COSTS COMING OUT OF THE IMPACT THROUGH THE UKRAINE WAR AND THE PANDEMIC AT THE MOMENT.

WE, THE TEAM, HAVE DONE A MAGNIFICENT JOB IN TERMS OF KEEPING US WITHIN BUDGET.

SO, IN TERMS OF, UH, THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL IN ITS ENTIRETY, IT'S MADE UP, AS I MENTIONED, OF TWO PROJECTS.

UM, IN THIS GRAPHIC YOU SEE THE BLUE SCOPE, UH,

ANYTHING IN BLUE IS KIND OF MODIFIED AND REFURBISHED SCOPE.

ANYTHING IN RED IS NEW CONSTRUCTED SCOPE, STARTING WITH THE NEW DUS PIER OPENING NEXT YEAR.

UH, VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

AND I'VE GOT SOME, UH, UH, RENDERINGS AND ALSO PROGRESS PHOTOS TO SHOW YOU ON THAT.

WE HAVE THE NEW BAGGAGE SCREENING BUILDING, WHICH IS GONNA HAVE THE NEW STATE OF THE ART, UH, BAGGAGE SCREENING FOR THE TSA FOR OUR NEW INTERNATIONAL FACILITY, UH, SOUTH OF NORTH TIMBER ROAD.

WE HAVE THE NEW TWO NEW LEVELS OF ADDITIONAL PARKING, UM, ON THE SEA PARKING GARAGE.

AND THEN WE HAVE THE, WHAT WE'RE VERY PROUD OF IS THE, UH, INTERNATIONAL CENTRAL PROCESSOR.

WE ALSO THEN HAVE A MODIFIED TERMINAL E FACILITY, WHICH WE WILL HAVE ONE OF THE LARGEST SECURITY CHECKPOINTS IN THE COUNTRY.

UH, NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE.

UH, AND SO IN TERMS OF DATES, WE ARE FORECASTING, AS I MENTIONED, COMPLETION, UM, OF, UH, D WEST PIER FOR THE MIDDLE OF NEXT YEAR.

WE ARE FORECASTING THE CENTRAL PROCESSOR OPENING IN Q3 2024 WITH THE NEW PARKING, UH, FACILITIES OPEN AT THE END OF NEXT YEAR.

UM, AND THEN OUR MODIFICATIONS WILL CONCLUDE, UM, IN JULY, UH, TO MARCH, 2025, UM, OF THE FINAL, UH, SORT OF LANDSCAPING PIECES ASSOCIATED WITH THE FIS AND THE ROADWAYS SURROUNDING IT.

YOU SEE HIGH CEILINGS, BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK THAT'S GONNA BE GOING INTO THE FACILITY AND A REAL, UH, WARM, UM, BOARDING GATE EXPERIENCE, UM, AS WE TRY TO CREATE A MORE OF A HOSPITALITY TYPE FEEL WITHIN THE PIER.

AND ONE OF THE CRITICAL PIECES IS OBVIOUSLY TO UPGRADE AND, AND REFURBISH TERMINAL D, THE EXISTING TERMINAL D SO THAT WHEN, UH, THE NEW PIER OPENS, TERMINAL D LOOKS JUST AS NEW.

UH, AND YOU CAN SEE A LOT OF PROGRESS IS, HAS BEEN ONGOING WITHIN TERMINAL DEER.

AS WE STAND EVERY NIGHT, THE TEAM GOES OUT THERE LIKE THE INVISIBLE BOULDER AND, UH, IS TAKING UP CARPETS AND FLOORING AND REDOING WALLS.

UM, AND WE ARE GONNA START SEEING SOME OF THE NEW FINISHES GOING IN.

SO, PRETTY EXCITING.

THE GATES, UM, THE GATE HOUSES OR THE RAMPS WHERE YOU ACCESS THE AIRCRAFT ON THE BOTTOM TO YOUR RIGHT HAND PICTURES, THEY'RE REFURBISHED AND BEING PAINTED AND NEW CARPETS AND FLOORING.

SO WE'RE PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

SO A LOT OF GOOD PROGRESS IS BEING MADE THERE.

BUT WHERE WE SEE, YOU KNOW, THE HEAVY AND LARGE CONSTRUCTION IS IN OUR NEW, NEW P THE TOP LEFT HAND CORNER SHOWS YOU A, A SHOT OF THE COLUMNS COMING OUT.

THESE COLUMNS WILL HOLD THE DECK, WHICH WILL ALLOW THE STEEL TO START GOING UP IN JULY, UH, WHERE THE STEEL BE COMPLETE IN NOVEMBER.

WE HAVE A LOT OF UTILITY WORK AND APRON EXPANSION HAPPENING, AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS.

AND A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF EFFORT AND WORK GOING INTO OUR NEW PAIR, WHICH WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT.

UH, THE NEXT PIECE, UM, NEXT SLIDE PLEASE, IS, UM, THE STERILE CORRIDOR.

NOW THE STERILE CORRIDOR IS HOW WE, UM, TAKE OUR ARRIVING PASSENGERS FROM OUR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AND GET THEM INTO THE, THE FEDERAL INSPECTION SERVICE FACILITY.

UH, WE HAVE TO KEEP THEM SEGREGATED.

AND IN ORDER TO DO THAT WITH A NEW FACILITY, WE'VE HAD TO CONSTRUCT A STERILE CORRIDOR.

UM, WE'VE DONE IT IN SUCH A WAY, WE'RE USING MODULAR CONSTRUCTION AND OVERNIGHT INSTALLATION OF SOME VERY LARGE PIECES.

UM, YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENT COLORS SHOW THE SEQUENCE.

WE HAVE FOUR LEFT TO DO.

UM, AND SO THAT IS COMING DOWN FAIRLY QUICKLY NOW.

UH, AND HERE YOU SEE ON THE FAR LEFT, UM, THE TUNNEL, UM, THAT'LL BE COVERED UP WITH THE ROAD OVER IT.

AND THE TEAM HAVE DONE A FANTASTIC JOB SO FAR IN TERMS OF NOT ONLY MITIGATING OPERATIONAL IMPACTS, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, KEEPING EVERYBODY SAFE.

UM, SO THE ENABLING UTILITIES PROJECT, JUST WANNA HIGHLIGHT THIS AND SHOW YOU.

IT'S, IT'S A PROJECT THAT'S JUST STARTED COMMENCING.

UM, IT'S MADE UP OF THREE MAIN COMPONENTS.

THE FIRST COMPONENT IS REPLACEMENT, UM, OF AGED ASSETS AND A AND A WATER LINE GOING DOWN THE NORTH CENTRAL TERMINAL ROAD.

UM, THE, UM, INSTALLATION OF ISOLATION VALVES THAT ALLOW US TO ISOLATE THE CENTRAL TERMINAL AREA TO MAINTAIN PRESSURE.

AND THEN THE INSTALLATION OF A WATER PRODUCTION PLANT, WHICH HAS THREE COMPONENTS.

IT HAS A PUMPING STATION, IT HAS TWO 1.2 GALLON, UM, UH, ABOVEGROUND PORTABLE STORAGE TANKS, UM, AS WELL AS WE ARE BUSY DRILLING A NEW WATER.

WELL THAT'LL GO DOWN 150 FEET.

WE ALSO HAVE THE FINAL DESIGN REQUEST FOR OUR AVNET DESIGNER, UH, ALONG WITH THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR OUR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT TEAM.

UM, LATER ON IN THE YEAR WE'LL BE CLOSING OUT THE REIMBURSABLE AGREEMENT WITH UNITED AND DE APPROPRIATING APPROXIMATELY $13 MILLION, UH, CLOSING OUT THE, UH, ACCEPTANCE OF WORK, UH, FOR THE, UH, PEPPER LAWSON WORKS FOR THE IDO BUILDING.

AND THEN NEXT YEAR WE HAVE FINAL TWO APPROPRIATIONS, UH, OF THE PMSS ANNUAL, UH, FUNDING APPROPRIATION.

AND AT THE BEGINNING OF 24, UH, AN AIRLINE MOVE FUNDING REQUEST WHERE WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT TO PAY, UM, FOR EACH AIRLINE, A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR THEM TO RELOCATE TO THE NEW FACILITY.

AND WHEN I FLY IN, I, I, I FIND THAT THE RESTROOMS ARE CLOSED AT THE JAVIER AIRPORT TERMINALS.

I I'VE FLOWN IN INTO THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINALS, THEY'RE CLOSED.

I FLY, FLEW IN, UH, THURSDAY, MONDAY NIGHT, AND, UH, THANKFULLY, UH, ONLY ONE WAS CLOSED IN THAT AREA.

BUT THEY HAVE TO CONSIDER THE FACT THAT THE CITIZENS ARE FLYING IN LATE AT NIGHT AND, AND THEY NEED TO BE ABLE TO USE THE RESTROOM FACILITIES AS SOON AS THEY GET OFF THE PLANE.

IT'S JUST A GIVEN.

MOST PEOPLE AREN'T GONNA GO TO THE RESTROOMS AND THE PLANE FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS, BUT, AND, AND I JUST THINK IT'S A DISCOURTEOUS, UH, THING TO LOCK THE RESTROOMS UP.

I I SEE THAT THAT LITTLE, UH, PULL CARD IS ACROSS THE RESTROOM ENTRANCE.

AND HOW DOES THAT WORK WITH THE PRESENT DESIGN OF I TRIPP SPECIFICALLY THE INTERNATIONAL SIDE? YEAH, SO FOR THE, FROM A DOMESTIC STANDPOINT, THERE IS BASICALLY A KIND OF PROJECT THAT'S COMING ALONG THAT'S VERY SIMILAR TO I TRIPP THAT WILL BE, WE'RE GONNA CALL D TRIPP.

UM, THAT WOULD BE, UM, THE DOMESTIC COUNTERPART TO THIS WHERE WE WOULD ADD ADDITIONAL GATES FROM A DOMESTIC STANDPOINT, UM, FOR GROWTH.
